Alpine Kayak has been teaching kayaking since 1989 in the Vail Valley, Colorado. Alpine Kayak School is located in Alpine Quest Sports' retail location in Edwards & Glenwood Springs, CO. We have one of Colorado's largest kayak schools and pride ourselves on the quality of instruction and all around experience we can provide to our guests. All of Alpine Kayak's instructors are First Aid/ CPR Certified, have had Swiftwater Rescue training & are certified by the American Canoe Association (ACA) to teach whitewater kayaking/ SUP. We recruit instructors from all across the United States to make sure that we have instructors that will not only teach you the skills, but assure that you will have a great time while learning!  Alpine Kayak is also teaching Stand Up Paddleboarding (SUP) Lessons 7/ days a week.  Try the fastest growing sport in the mountains!

We have Kayaking Lessons for beginners through experts, for all ages and are taught on local rivers, lakes and pools. We have access to over 100 miles of the Colorado, Eagle & Roaring Fork Rivers. This allows us to cater our programs to make sure that you have the right learning environment whether it is May, September or anywhere in between. Water levels are constant on the Colorado River year round so during a record runoff or a drought year we can offer classes on a great stretch of river! Not quite ready for a whitewater kayak? Try a sit-on-top kayak or stand-up paddleboard tour. Alpine Kayak has different Kayaking Lessons and river activities scheduled for everyday of the summer. We hope our schedule works with yours. Alpine Kayak opened a second teaching location in May 2009, offering classes out of Alpine Quest Sports' retail store in Glenwood Springs, CO.  Alpine Kayak also offers kayak classes for all ability levels on the Colorado & Roaring Fork Rivers in Glenwood Springs, CO.  No matter where you are, the Vail Valley or the Roaring Fork/ Aspen Valley.  Alpine Kayak School can get you on the river.  Check out our different class offerings in Vail/ Edwards or Glenwood Springs.
