Shipping Destinations

We currently ship ski gear, ski clothing, climbing gear, whitewater kayaks, raft and kayak gear and other products to any physical address or P.O. Box in the United States, including Alaska, Hawaii & Puerto Rico.

We do ship to locations in outside of the United States. Please e-mail us for a shipping quote or refer to Shipping Charges. When requesting an overseas shipping quote, please include your complete shipping address in the email along with the product list of what you would like shipped.

Shipping Methods

Our goal is to offer you the fastest and lowest-cost shipping method. We use several shipping carriers including United Parcel Service (UPS), United States Postal Service (USPS), Federal Express (FedEx) & DHL.  We will automatically select the carrier when you submit your order so that you receive the best possible delivery time. Most orders are sent UPS.  Orders shipped to PO Boxes are automatically sent via USPS.  Playboats are usually sent FedEx. 

Some oversized kayaks will need to be shipped via Freight. Please refer to the Kayak Shipping section for more info.

Kayak Shipping

If we cannot ship your boat on the day you place your order, it will ship on the following business day. Time in transit is generally between 2 and 5 business days, but please allow up to 7 business days to destinations in the Southeast. Expedited Shipping is available for boats.  Contact us us for a Next Day or 2 Day rate.  When purchasing a kayak, additional gear may be purchased along with the kayak at 15% off.  When applicable, this gear may be shipped inside your kayak to reduce your shipping costs.

Regularly priced kayaks ship for $50 to the contiguous 48 states.  Shipping costs have gone through the roof in recent years and most kayaks cost $100+ to your door.  You just pay a flat $50 and we cover the rest.  Discounted or sale kayaks have a $85 shipping charge to your door. Oversized kayaks are shipped via Forward Air.  You must be able to pick the oversized kayak up at any one of Forward Air's Locations.  If this is not possible, e-mail us with your address for a door-to-door quote.  Note: A business address will be much cheaper than a residential address.  Please inspect all kayaks before signing.

All kayak sales are final. Please inspect whitewater kayaks before accepting from the shipper. Alpine Kayak can not be held responsible for any damage incurred during the shipping process. It is the customers responsibility to file a claim with the shipper for any kayak damage. Please inspect packaging before signing for a kayak.

All 1-peice paddles & skis have a $20 shipping charge.  2-piece & breakdown paddles do not have any additional shipping charges.

Shipment Delivery Time

Your expected delivery date is determined by the date of shipment from our Edwards, CO retail store and the shipping preference you select. A tracking number will be provided to you on your account page for web orders and e-mailed to you for phone orders.

Your purchase of in-stock merchandise will be shipped on the day you order if the shipping center receives the order prior to 1 PM (MST) Monday through Friday, not including standard business holidays. Orders received after 1 PM local time will be shipped the next business day. Special orders and out-of-stock merchandise may require additional time prior to shipment.  If shipment of your order is delayed, Alpine Quest Sports will notify you by phone or email.

Shipping Charges

Your shipping charge will be based on the value of your order and the method you select when ordering (Regular or 2nd Day). This includes items shipped in multiple boxes.

Normal Shipping: We offer FREE UPS Regular Ground Shipping to the continental United States on purchases over $150, excluding boats, skis and other oversized items (paddles). (Normal shipping is $5 for orders under $20, $7 for orders $20-$50 & $10 for orders of $50-$150.)

We use USPS Priority Mail for orders going to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, US Virgin Islands, Guam and other US Territories; the cost is $15 for orders under $75 and $20 for orders over $75 (insurance is included where available). Although most orders reach their destination within 3 to 7 business days from the date they are placed, please allow up to 2 weeks for delivery. If it is important that you receive your order sooner, please use 2-Day Shipping. Orders shipped to locations outside the 50 states can take longer.

2nd Day Shipping: Fees for non-oversized packages to the contiguous 48 states via 2nd Day is $25. This in addition to the normal shipping rates.  2nd Day service to AK, HI and PR costs $20. (Since USPS Priority Mail usually takes only about 3 days to AK, HI and PR, we do not recommend choosing 2nd Day to these locations.) 2nd Day Shipping is available for playboat purchases. If it is critical that your order be shipped on the same day that it is placed, we must be contacted via telephone (970-926-3867) before 1:00 pm Mountain Time.

Canada: Priority Shipping to Canada is $18 and the normal time in transit is 7 to 10 days, but please allow up to 3 weeks for Priority shipments to arrive. The cost for Express Shipping is $32 and the normal time in transit is 3 to 5 days. Insurance is included in these prices.

Mexico: Normal Shipping for Mexico is $22 and the estimated time in transit is 4 to 7 days. The cost of Express Shipping is $36 (including insurance) and the time in transit is 2 to 3 days.

Overseas Orders: The cost of USPS Global Priority Shipping to destinations outside of North America is available upon request (see shipping destinations) and the estimated time in transit is 6 to 10 days (though some shipments may take up to three weeks due to customs.)
We perform an Address Verification on every Credit Card and this process can take up to two days. Your order will be delayed or cancelled if your bank does not provide Address Verification Service. To expedite your order, please use a credit card issued by an American bank when possible.
Due to shipping costs, custom fees & taxes, all sales outside of the US are final.  Sorry no international returns.

Duty, Taxes, and Customs are the responsibility of the recipient. Individuals ordering internationally may be subject to fees and or import taxes by their own countries government. We cannot be held liable for fees applied upon arrival.  Please check with local customs agency to see what your fees might be.  We cannot be held liable for products that are seized or delayed due to customs or shipping.

Orders Damaged in Shipping

If you believe a package received from us was damaged in transit, it is your responsibility to file a claim with the shipping company.  Items become customer's property once picked up by the shipping company.  Please inspect all packages before signing.

Shipping Refunds

Your original shipping charge will only be refunded for an item sent to you in error or a defective item. This refund will automatically be credited once we receive and inspect the item.  Please see our return policy for further details.
COD shipments will not be accepted.
